Each participant joins one module for approximately 64 hours of activities — equivalent to four credits — and follows every stage of an experimental project.
From preparation and instrumentation to data analysis, reporting and presentation of results.
Science in full
EAFExp combines experimental practice, plurality and reflection. We want different paths to find a place in science — and every participant's education to extend beyond the laboratory bench.
Women participants in the 9th edition
Women's participation grew from 26% in “Mãos na Massa” to near parity in recent editions. The School actively encourages women in experimental physics.
Regional and cultural diversity
Students from every region of Brazil and other Latin American countries share knowledge, experiences and different ways of doing science.
Beyond the laboratory
Seminars and round tables address ethics and research integrity, science policy, academic writing, diversity, big data and other essential topics.
